I want to thank Almighty God for the
beauty and wonder of Eddie James Kendrick(s). No one knows this until now but
Kendrick-Spirit,but when "Street Gold" was being taped during Eddie's
last appearance at the Apollo in Harlem,I was standing on line when he came
walking around the corner with a film crew rolling,as he strolled east on 125th
street. I said to myself "WOW,here comes Eddie!". He practically
stopped right beside me to speak with fans,and I was so busy being macho and
kool that I didn't want to gush all over the brother in front of the cameras,and
tell him how much I loved him and his music,and how much a part of my life it
has been.So I kinda focused elsewhere and let others do the gushing. I had no
idea that he was as sick as he was,until during the performance when I knew that
something was very wrong. When he passed just months later I was shocked and
devastated,and regret to this moment that I never said to him "thank
you". But knowing that spirit is not bound by time and space,I say it now -
'Thanks {{{{{{{Eddie}}}}}}}. I love you man'. I also thank his wonderful
family,for a man is the sum of his parts and roots,as well as his own unique

Kendricks. He was undenialably the greatest tenor in the business and no one
could perform the way that he could. He helped propel The Temptations into music
stardom and history. Not only will he be remembered for his remarkable voice,
but also for the person that he was. I want to thank you Mrs. Kendricks for
sharing your amazing son with all of us. Because of you and him I know my world
is a brighter place, as I'm sure are many others. Know that you and your family
will always be in my prayers and that Eddie is smiling down on you from heaven!

Good evening Eddiebody, (((Eddiebody))). On this day, the
sixieth anniversary of Eddie's birth I have to thank God for blessing my life
with Eddie's presence in song. I believe in my heart that before the foundations
of the earth was laid, God in His infinite wisdom predestined this day, 60 years
ago, to bless Mr. and Mrs. Kendrick with a son that would gift the world through
music. God reached down and bestowed upon Eddie James Kendrick a gift comparable
to none. A voice only He could create. What an honor it must have been for Eddie
to share the gift God gave him with the world. I truly believe that what God has
for you; He has for you. And what God had for Eddie; He had only for Eddie. A
voice so pristine and original in purity, that none other can compare. So in
honor of Eddie's 60th birthday, I'd like to thank God for loaning Eddie to Mr.
and Mrs. Kendrick for just a few short years, so he could bless the world with
music to last a lifetime. I want to personally thank Eddie's children for
sacrificing their Dad and sharing him with each of us and millions more, so that
we would be able to experience another wonder of God. May God's blessing
continue to shower upon each of you. What more can I say? God did it! And He
used Eddie James Kendrick, to do it. Thank God. Through cyberspace we share our
love for Eddie, the man, and his music. But I believe that in the depths of the

Today December 17th marks the birthday of Edward James
Kendrick who rose to fame initially as a member of the Temptations and later as
a Grammy nominated solo artist. The love that we all share is immeasurable. He
left us much too soon but GOD had a bigger tasdk for him in heaven.Thank GOD for
records,CD's and video tapes. We can still feel that special something that
Eddie had and used so greatly to the masses of people: His ROAMING TENOR VOICE.
